Migratory Laborers

Siphonophores are one of the ocean’s unsung heroes, and the series intents to convey their ethereal essence. These mysterious and bizarrely beautiful creatures vary widely in size and shape. Some are bioluminescent. They live in the oceans’ “twilight zone,” and rise to the surface nightly to eat carbon-rich organisms. When they die and fall to the sea floor, they sequester more carbon each year than that produced by the entire world’s cars.
